Doris' dance style is the reflexion of her multi-ethnic identity. Born and raised in
Paris in France, she grew up surrounded by her parents origins and culture (Black, West Indian, Chinese, white and Persian).
She started to dance Ballet at age 4, studied violin for 9 years and became one of the best french gymnast winning multiple titles.
Interested in ethnic dances, she created her first Dance Company and traveled all around the world.
Combining modern dance and ballet technic to Middle eastern, African or latin dances, she became quickly well-known for her creativity and talent.
Arrived in Los Angeles in 2006 she founded the Martel Dance Company and she became respected in the Persian Market for her ability to teach and dance traditional and popular Iranian dance style. She is the official choreographer of Black cats, Kamy R and Afshin. She has also worked with Sepideh, Mehrshad, Valy and recently with the Wu Tan Clan and Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam
